Its getting darker. The sun is rising at 8 and setting at 4. I dislike this. The day is just passing by. Its so short. And cold. Damn. I'm freezing. I really miss the Australian weather at this point. Long, warm, sunny days. But the worst part is that its just cold. Dark and cold. Theres no snow. If it was snow outside, at least it would be fun and it doesn't seem so dark outside. Gah.
It all started with me being tired and feeling all gah-ish. SO I watch the ellen show! And an actor was being interviewed. Jason Schwartzman! And I recognize him from the movie Rushmore Turns out he is out with a new series, called Bored to death! So i download it, and its sooo funny/cool/awesome! Ah. I love it!
But it doesn't stop there! oh no sir! Turns out, in that show, another actor, Ted Danson, who is also acting as himself in one of my favorite shows, Curb your enthusiasm
But! Back to the show. Another funny thing is that the theme song is made by Jason Schwartzmans band, Coconut Records, which made a really cool song that reminds me of Perth. And since its all awesome, I think you should have a listen too :)
Oh, oh. And if thats not enough. Every monday at 1920, Ive been indoor cycling. And every time, they play this song. Now, every monday, since like. I dont know. August, September? Ive been swearing I have heard this song somewhere else. And I just can't bring myself to figure which artist or song it is. Until today. As a real weird chain of coincidence which got me to this. It all started on friday really, I was at work and talking about music with one of my co-workers, Kim, and I mentioned that he should check out Faith no more, because they were so awesome when I saw them at Roskilde. Then, on monday, I went indoor cycling again and figured that the singer really reminded me of mike patton! So to top the week (so far) off, I bring to you, the indoor cycling song, Last cup of sorrow, by Faith no more!
Ah. Datarock. I love them! If they were a kind of icecream flavor, it would be my favorite! Maybe I should invent it. It would taste awesome. Datarock: the taste of awesomeness! Ah, the possibilities! My friend, Mina and I were at the front. Or. We fought our way to the front. Like real crazy beer-infested fans do. And we screamed. We sang. We danced. We were crazy. Just like you are supposed to be when an awesome band plays. I've seen them before. And just when you think they can't be any more awesome, they just do a show like this, and knock my woolen socks off! There was stagediving involved. There was sexyness involved. And of course, there were some serious awesomeness involved.
I even got a setlist. Because I was special. Or just because I happened to be there at some point. I dont know. I loved the pink paper. It just added to the awesome. Just when you think Datarock couldn't be any more awesome, they just come and show up with a pink setlist. It was an amazing night, with amazing people and music. I can't wait for next time!
So, as a part of my birthday gift, my sister paid something for me. A license so I can participate in a bicycling race. Oh yes. In june, I, Marthe, are gonna bicycle 130 km, from Hamar to Oslo. Just to illustrate:
I had a breakdown last week. I haven't had a breakdown like that in 2 years. I really need time to reflect and think. Sort things out. At this point, I don't really know anything anymore.
